Congrats ODogg! Lots of good advice that I've already 'liked' on this thread...I hope your new in-laws can keep their oars in the water, based on your past posts.
Pre-marriage counseling with a quality counselor or minister, if you do it right and both of you are HONEST can head off potential problems down the line.
During this, you will talk about whether or not you BOTH want children (if one of you does and one does not, this will be problematic).
Religion.
Finances.
Can you communicate about intimacy clearly with each other.
How important is career for each of you, and flexibility for sacrifice and/or relocation for career.
Understanding of each other's outside interests, especially hobbies that aren't necessarily shared interests.
There's more, but that kind of stuff is important and can all cause major problems. Try to turn over as many rocks as you can before sealing the deal so any potential deal-breakers get sorted.
