Extra Life 2015, the 24-hour gaming marathon, is scheduled for November 7th, 2015. Roughly 6 months from now.
In light of some of the negative stuff that's happened the past few days, I felt compelled to set up my fundraising page and start up donation efforts early. I always plan to, but it slips and I fight the clock trying to motivate friends and family to make a donation. Not this time!
You can find my Extra Life 2015 page here: http://www.extra-life.org/index.cfm?...ipantID=149037
A little background: raised over $500 in the 4 years I've participated in this charity event, so I went ambitious and set a goal of $420 for this year. Why the strange number? If I accomplish my goal, it'll put me over $1000 total over the 5 years I'll have done this event. That, to me, is incredible. And every penny has gone, and will go, directly to the hospital I play for (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia).
And I wouldn't be able to have done it without generous donations from members here at OS. Because I don't want to miss anyone, I won't name names, but you know who you are and I sincerely appreciate you putting your money behind me. Thank you.
As always, the biggest shoutout to ExtremeGamer for bringing Extra Life up here at OS and piquing my interest. I was at one of the lowest points of my life at the time, but when I saw EG's post and decided to participate it put what I was going through in perspective and shined the light on what matters most: giving back, and helping sick and hurt children. They deserve a chance!
Let's do this damn thang, shall we?
