What is the most number of miles you have had on a car?

I have a 2000 Toyota Corolla that I have had since 2011 that has over 200k miles on it. I am thinking of getting rid of it soon before the engine or transmission goes bad, as that tends to happen when a car has that many miles on it . Not looking forward to having a car payment though lol but need to get rid of it before it breaks down. Anyway, I have never owned a car with that many miles on it before. Whats the most number of miles you had on any car you've ever owned?

200k for a Toyota is nothing, their just getting warmed up. I'll get back on this thread on my uncle that hit a million miles, not sure if it's on the original engine.

Myself I've owned a Honda Accord, Prelude and Acura integra and got 300k on all of them before I switched them and they were all original engine and tranny.

On my Subaru sti, I got up to 250k but rebuilt the engine and replaced the turbo but I was racing at the time so that wasn't a surprise.

Yeah, but did your cars have rust damage on them? Mine does under the bottom of the car. Just got my car checked a couple months ago and the mechanic said it is rusted pretty bad but nothing to worry about or anything I can do about it. I just worry that the rust will mess up the frame or cause some other major problem.

No rust damage but my uncles and aunts Toyotas were in Alaska so rust was there for sure.

Also check on Toyota forums, you'll meet a ton of people with your same model so you can see their experiences. A lot of people brag about their mileage.

I'm sure 2000 is still super solid. I was doing research on Camry and Supras in the mid 90s and that was awhile ago and they were hitting half a million easy.

Something to think about too, even something does break on your corolla , you have a ton of places you can get parts,including most dumps for crazy cheap.

I had a 1987 Audi 5000 that had 289k on it before I was able to buy my own car. Got it when I turned 16 and put about 115k on it myself..................loved that car lol

My first car ('98 Mazda Protege) had around 128k miles. My '08 Ford Focus had 122k miles. Both were still running perfectly before they got totaled

My dad's Ford Explorer had 300k miles before he had to replace. He took really good care of it tho. It was an 01 model I think

My 2007 Audi A4(my "ghetto" car for driving to work)....has 200K.
Clean as could be and very little work on it...(the usual...headlights....tires...brakes...I'm replacing the rotors now).
Still runs like a dream.
I am INSANE about P.M. though.....

Sounds about right. My dad puts insane mileage on his cars doing the twice a week commute, which he says will be the factor for him considering retirement.

Just shy of 150k miles on my 01 Ford Focus when it broke down couple weekends ago. Getting rid of it, but I know there's some life left. Just don't wanna be along for that ride.

155k on an '03 Nissan 350z, the car I have now.

Nowadays 200k is like the new 100k it seems to me. With my last two cars, both mid 1990's(one was a Ford the other a Mazda) something seemed to go out on them constantly and they only had 125k and a 137k on them when I got rid of them. I've had this 350z for 5 or so months and haven't had a single issue.

I think the most I've ever put on a car is around 40k. I usually get a new car every few years.
