So I've recently been in contact with the Killer E2200 networking team the past month attempting to get this problem figured out. As a last ditched effort I figure I'd give you guys a shot.
So I recently built a new gaming rig which has the Z97 Fatal1ty board, which houses the E2200 Killer NIC. Upon the build I noticed several issues which seemed like the bandwidth control was causing some issues. I could only use one "network function" at a time, any other action would be shutdown. What I mean by that, for example: I open a browser tab and start downloading a file, attempt to open second browser tab "Unable to connect to internet" will display on the browser tab. Another would be, say I log into a online game and I'm playing fine, none of our phones in the house will be able to use wifi. It goes for everything like this, download a file, then try and join a online game no servers will be listed. So short version, only ONE online function at a time works everything else fails.
So things I've done:
- Disabled the E2200 bandwidth control function through their command applet. No change
- Disabled the E2200 bandwidth control through device manager of the devices properties. No change
- Reinstalled latest firmware of E2200, repeated first two. No change
- Deleted E2200 command app and went with ONLY base driver(no software bandwidth control). No change
- By-passed the DIR-655 and hardline straight into the E2200, same effect. No change
So obviously its not the DIR-655 (QoS, never enabled it) since its removed from the equation but I'm searching for any outside ideas. Only thing else I can think of is purchasing a Intel PCIE NIC and by-passing the E2200 as the only solution.
Any ideas let me know.
