Oddly enough the to-go only Cici's place in my town is really really good for chain pizza. It's not the crappy buffet pizzas. For $5.99 you get a massive pizza better than the rest of the big 3 we have in town.

I've definitely "woken up" in some weird sleep paralysis type states. Actually has happened to me on several occasions, where I feel like I'm awake, I can't move, and I'll think I see something floating over my bed or in the corner of the room. I try to yell, but don't actually make any noise. Or at least I don't think I actually yell, since I've never woken anyone up to my knowledge.

So I went to the doctor for the first time in ages for something other than a biometric screening because of some back pain I started having from a class I did the other day. He noticed my shoulders weren't even. Turns out I have scoliosis and didn't even notice it. No one did. Ever.

He says it's minor I guess because it's just a "small" C-curve, but seeing that X-ray, I wanted to say "you call that minor!!!!" He said not to worry about it at least since I've had no pain from it. He said a specialist would say the same thing and a chiropractor would "fix it" by charging you for 3 years. Easier just to keep exercising like I've been doing it and if I notice any new back pain, see if it's worsened.

Went to chiropractor last year and turns out I'm 50 lbs heavier on one side. Causing sciatic nerve issue on the other.

Long story short wanted me to pay 5k for year for treatment, when I said that won't fly they put me on the 3k "economic" plan. Either way, with a newborn on the way, neither was happening

I have a curve in my spine too. I read the chiropractic subReddit occasionally and the ones that post there say they never recommend more than 6 weeks of treatment. Anything past that is all for the money. I've been meaning to do research on posture exercises, and in general trying to stand more or sit up straighter. I know for sure just having a stronger back in general will help with a lot of issues.

I've had this happen to me. I realized it only happens if I fight going to sleep. So if I am extremely tired, but force my eyes open to play on my phone or watch a show and eventually pass out. I've definitely done the yelling, but not yelling before. Even if I pass out on the couch, or on an airplane I'll twitch myself awake.

Haha like the new thread title. You know, the first thing I checked was if I had experienced missing time. I was thinking did I just get abducted by aliens? Because that damn light I saw was blinding. But it turns out there was really no missing time.

Just had an incredible guest service experience at Verizon. Probably tricked me into buying a couple things I didn't need, but man that guy was great.

Went in for the Note 7 (which they had to order), guy swindled me into a case, snake oiled me into a bluetooth speaker by playing my favorite music really loud for the whole store, and just overall was very attentive and knowledgeable.

I'm 27. It was the class that started the pain this time. I've been slacking off the past few weeks because of vacations and meetings and the girl I go with that makes me go has been out. I think I just overdid one of the exercises and pulled something across my shoulder blade. That was Tuesday. I felt ok Wednesday and started doing some landscaping work under my deck and was bent over a lot. I went to bed fine, just a bit sore, and I woke up fine. But after an hour or so at my desk this morning, I just had this sudden pain in the middle of my back.

He gave me a couple of medicines and I've felt a bit better since then and was told to take it easy for a few days and said I shouldn't worry too much about the scoliosis, just have it checked out if I start having recurring pain.

As for back pain history, a few years ago when I supposedly had sleep apnea but I don't think I did, I was sleeping 12+ hours a night and I had back soreness. But it went away when my sleeping improved. And last spring I had some lower back pain for a few days, but just used some icy hot pads and after a couple days, I never had any more since. But this time was mid-upper back.
