Re: Off Topic 2016: Merry Christmas!

I guess landing on your shoulder sounds a bit different than catching. I wouldn't consider myself someone who would go out of my way to wrangle up some loose birds so I was curious.. not passing judgment.

I searched pretty soon after I read because I was curious what Parrots were doing there because it didn't sound right lol.Comment

One of the parakeets had a leg band so was obviously an escaped pet. The other was tame enough to be caught by hand.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

eBay is pretty good. I haven't bought much memorabilia but I do buy and sell sports cards and I've never had any issues.

I would make sure you only buy from people in the US or Canada and they have very high feedback score. Like 98-100% Also try to only get things that have some sort of authentication.

You can snag up some great deals on there. A lot of people sell autographed stuff that they think will sell high and it ends up going very reasonably.Comment

I'm usually good at the gift buying. I never know what I want at the moment or don't want people buying random stuff I won't use so I say to leave it to gift cards and I'll figure it out from there.Comment

I only order thin crust pizza now. I just can't go back to hand tossed or pan. Ever since this Dominos opened right down the street and I tried their thin crust it was a wrap. Something about that crunchy goodness. Sorry if that sounds weird."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

I noticed my laptop battery was dying on me.

I have since placed it on life support, as the computer is being charged... with manslaughter.

This is my extraordinary Saturday night, folks.

Re: Off Topic 2016:Official Turkey Day is better Fan Club Thread

I didn't come back to this in time.

I've followed Frosted since last spring and outside of the Met Mile, I figured he wouldn't have enough. He's always been sort of second tier in these races. I had him in the Kentucky Derby and he closed like nobody's business. For some reason, he doesn't get ridden in these longer distances races like he was at 1 mile. I'd like to see him run some more 1 mile races to see if that is the best distance for him or was that record run truly out of character?

I had Chrome, Arrogate, and Melatonin as part of a double and I really wanted Melatonin to hit because it was going to pay great. I was looking good for the first 2/3 and then he just disappeared. I doubt Arrogate came close to repeating his Travers performance, but he definitely improved over his earlier races while Melatonin just had too long a layoff.

I found the races a lot harder to handicap this year than last year. I hit on quite a few nice payouts for last year's and did next to nothing at this year's BC.Comment
