So it's always been a running joke that one of my best friends, Max Kessler, looks like Adam Sandler. People literally called him Adam Sandler all the time at school.

So in Adam Sandler's new movie, he plays a character named Max Kessler, and a bunch of us convinced Max to post a picture on Reddit about it. It became the #2 trending post on Reddit today (behind Prince's death obviously).

4 million views later, we finally got a response from Adam Sandler.

Your boy is golden era Billy Madison Adam Sandler, while real Sandler is the washed up version.

I miss the classics like Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy, etc. I feel like they don't do comedy like that anymore. It's all the same nowadays, or so it seems.

We think it's just a really bizarre coincidence. The movie has nothing to do with my friend at all. Just happens to be his name and his lookalike.

Max was a finalist to play Young Adam in one of his other films before though, so maybe Adam Sandler saw the name back then and it was just deep in his subconscious when he chose the name for his new character.

Was in downtown Louisville leaving baseball game and there was a guy playing prince songs on the corner. Listened to him sing "Purple Rain". He absolutely killed it in his own way. Dropped him a $20 in the guitar case.
