You get less meat on individual wings but the tradeoff is you can eat more of them because they're so cheap.

Also, where you get the wings make a lot of difference. If you follow me on twitter you know I hit up Pluckers every Tuesday and eating a 10 wing plate with a side is about the equivalent of eating a five piece dinner from Popeye's and cheaper to boot.

Serious question:
Is 2016 the biggest retirement year in sports history?

Kobe,Duncan in NBA
Lynch,Manning,Johnson in NFL
Prince,Arod,Ortiz in MLB

That's just the main guys, didn't even get into Amare,Woodson,Lecavalier, among others. And for mlb/NBA, that's just who we know of. Some older guys in nba still haven't said if they're for sure playing this year or not, and mlb season isn't done yet.

Off Topic 2016: Guzzling

Netflix has an app called Fast that tests your DL speed. Like a lighter version of SpeedTest.net. They actually have a link to compare it there when your speed is determined.

I'm running between 45-50 Mbps.



I bet if I move about 30 feet to my room and bed, that number would be half or less. The wifi signal in the bed area of my room is weak, but the other half of my room is fine. Basement life.

EDIT: yup, it's between 5-15 in my room. Lol

Hey guys.

Some of you already know, but at 4 AM yesterday morning the result of two days worth of downpouring had advanced to our doorstep. At 6 our house began to take on water and we evacuated. We crossed through water that came up to my chest (I'm 6'5") and made it to the mouth of our neighborhood where we went to a shelter. We were there for the better part of the morning before my aunt and uncle came and picked us up. This morning the waters receded enough that we were able to back and scope the damage and do what needed to be done around the house such as upright the overturned appliances and document damage as well as pull essentials.

Honestly, we got pretty lucky. Water only came up to about 90 inches and while most the furniture and all of the flooring will have to be gutted, most valuables (including our rabbit) were untouched by the water. I lost my XBOX, Blu-Ray player, and a few records that I valued highly but other than that, my room was good.

But what's hurting us the most right now is that all of our cars are shot. Most of them have full coverage but it's still a huge loss. But things are just things and can be replaced, our whole family including our fur babies are safe. Some people were not so lucky.

And this isn't a case of Louisiana's geography working against itself, this was a record setting flood. I could post heartbreaking images all day, I've seen 500 within the last 24 hours, each worse than the last, but this sums up what happened the best:



You don't have to be a meteorologist to know that the difference between 51 and 58 feet is a hell of a lot more than 20 and 27.

Now I'm not here for sympathy, I've received so much of that in the past day, but to ask you to donate to the relief fund. And honestly, monetary donations are less desired than physical donations. Right now, people need a fresh change of clothes and blankets more than they need money. I'm sure you have a bag or pile of clothes that you don't wear anymore, dropping them off would be crucial. Every little bit helps. But if you feel the need to donate money, text the Red Cross at 90999.

My concern here is that Livingston Parish and East Baton Rouge is not the metropolitan area that New York or Chicago and attention to the issues here just aren't viewed as important. I have some gripes with LP but it will always be home to me and have a place in my heart, and the greater Baton Rouge community still has wounds from the Alton Sterling and police shootings that took place last month. This is our lowest point in over a decade but if I know me people, we will recover.

Here is a list of the Red Cross chapters. If there's another organization that can get them over here, then that is fine as well.

And if they're not sending them here, then you're still helping out your own community.
