    A GoFundMe for my family.

Per jeremym480's suggestion, I'm making a separate thread for this so my post in the OT thread doesn't get buried.

As I mentioned in the OT thread, my father took his own life on Sunday after being in a lot of pain for a very long time. In an effort to both help support the costs of making arrangements for him, but also to help ease the burden of paying bills and the like in the wake of his death (our already tenuous financial situation will be worsened by this), my brother and his girlfriend have set up a GoFundMe account. We've already received numerous donations by some OSers, and for that I am unfathomably grateful.

Again, I don't want anyone to feel obligated to contribute anything. I'm just posting this so that you're all aware that the option is available to you, if you should feel so moved to help us through this tragedy with some form of material support.

    Thank you again, my friends.

Please check the URL and try again or, alternatively, you can browse fundraisers currently receiving the most donations worldwide below.

Re: A GoFundMe for my family.

OS is a family, and a family is strongest in the harshest times. I'm glad you reached out with this GoFundMe because just a post expressing my sympathies didn't feel like it was enough.

I've seen my fair share of tragedy in just 26 years, and time and again friends and family reached out with unwavering support and love. It shakes you to your core to know that even when you feel alone, that love still exists and we're all in this together.

A small donation was the least I could do.

Keep us updated on how YOU'RE doing if you feel so inclined. I know everyone wants to be strong, but it's okay to break down and grieve. As men, we're conditioned to be bulletproof. But we are still human, and it's the emotions we have that make us such. There's no shame in showing it.

Best of luck to you and your family as you cope with this new path set before you. As always, OS is here and myself personally.

    Take care of yourself.

I don't venture into OT much, but Psy, you have my condolences.

I think I speak for everyone here when I say that if you ever need to talk about any of this, you have many sets of ears here. My condolences to you and your family.

              Psy,

I've already donated, but I want to give this a little bump in hopes that the guys at Os can help your family get up to 2000. You're still in my prays and I hope you are doing well.

Psy I dunno if it will be too late but i'm expected to get some money sometime this month and will donate. Hearing your story in the OT thread broke my heart in a lot of ways. You have always impressed me as a guy with a lot of integrity and truly one of the good ones here.

Psy, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My prayers are with you and your family in this time.

I'm hopeful that I can still donate next week when I get paid. If not, please let me know how I can contribute funds.
