Extra Life is a 24 hour gaming marathon with ALL proceeds going directly to the participant's hospital of choice. I play for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).
I've personally raised and donated over $1000 in my 5 years participating in this charity event. This will be my 6th year, and just as the event as a whole has gotten bigger and better every year, I want my fundraising efforts to follow suit. I've set an ambitious goal of $500 in donations this year.

As I wrote in the description on my fundraising page, this year is extra special to me. I'm welcoming a son in to the world along with my wife in August. We're crossing our fingers that the process is flawless, but we know that's not up to us. We may be the ones spending time in Children's Miracle Network Hospitals this year. I'm invested in the success of my own Extra Life fundraising as well as the event's as a whole. Speaking of which, over 7 million dollars was raised last year, with 22 million dollars raised since the event's inception in 2008. Each year is bigger, better, and more amazing then the last. I would love to keep that trend going.
OS and its members have always gone above and beyond for both me as well as others fundraising efforts, and I can't adequately put in to words how much that means to me. Even if you guys don't donate another penny, you've done so much to help and raise the spirits of myself personally and of course the families that these donations benefit.
So thank you, a million times over! And a special shoutout to OS members ExtremeGamer, CAMPBLACKMAMBA24, and ImTellinTim for their efforts and consistent generosity over the years. We're all in this together. Now let's play some games and help heal some kids! Extra Life has a saying, #FTK or For The Kids. That's what this comes down to. The gaming is fun and I've found so much joy in the camaraderie of other Extra Lifer's across the nation, but it comes down to making sure children get the medical care and financial help they need.
I've kicked off my fundraising with a $20 donation, putting my money where my mouth is. Will you help me help others and do the same?
