Trendy things.

Living in a big city, way too many people are in love with trendy things. Clothes,restaurants, clubs and so on. I like smaller town/simpler things most times.

Also..not city specific, but those Starbucks loving Mac owning people. They're usually the types who think their brand of things are better and more prestigious than everyone else. It's like they have issues with other coffee places,android phones,and windows computers. And certain ones have to make it known to the room if someone mentions an Android phone or Windows computer, that they hate those things.

Quad City Style pizza. It's a certain style that originated here but I'm not a fan at all. There are several local places who all have variations of it but Rookies is the only place I like it from and they aren't even considered the #1 place here for that type..

I'm gonna go with In-N-Out though. Burgers are salty as hell and the menu is so simplistic. Also, did I ask for a whole head of lettuce in my burger? Oh, and give me some bacon on my burger damn it...

The only two things that stick out to me are:

- Rap music (like the rappers who originate from here and represent the Bay Area with their linguistic inventions).

- San Francisco proper. I don't feel the love for going there or calling it "my home" so much as the actual city/area that I live in, just several miles south of it. Great city, but I don't take in the infatuation of it nor do I go into it often. Outside of seeing Giants games and a bud of mine, I could go three whole years without entering the city and not give a damn. I like driving by it on the Bay Bridge though!

Ahh Mabster, I love me some In-N-Out! I understand your gripes, but part of it is what I love about it so much.

I think I counter the salt with what I order in it (given the secret menu add-ons and such), but I can't have enough of it! It would be a legitimate reason for me to never want to leave the west coast.

The bacon thing is debatable for me because I haven't tried it on it. Maybe next time I will bring my meal home and cook some bacon and put it inside to try it out. Some people say you can't go wrong with bacon, but I believe that it doesn't add things sometimes either.

The "simplistic" thing is a great touch for the restaurants. I really like that the majority of them even have the same layout. There was one I went to in Santa Ana that was literally a mirror image of the majority that I go to, and I was so turned around that I had trouble finding the bathroom haha. It's weird going into one that's different from the normal look.

Besides the sports teams here in Houston I'm not sure what I hate that other people love.

I'm not sure exactly what my city has that people would love or hate. Fight Club, maybe? Banks?

Even for the whole state. No sales tax... guess I don't love the out of staters who invade us for the holidays. But I definitely don't hate not paying extra on things.

The closest might be Dogfish Head beer. It's good, but so are most craft beers. 4 packs for like $12... ehh, I'll pick up something equal or lesser value, still great quality and get a full six pack.
