Recommend the best sports game this year for gameplay and franchise play.

Is it Madden 17? I already have NBA 2k17 but would like another sports title. If I posted this in the wrong place apologies in advance.

Well it was Madden, but that ended after the patch. 2k's gameplay is complete garbage imo. Their franchise also has a lot of small issues that add up.

Yeah Madden seems to have the second best franchise play. NHL seems bare bones. Maybe FIFA? Although I know nothing about transfer season and how to manage it.

In my opinion FIFA might be the second best choice. NBA2K is still number 1 for me though even though it's had more issues then normal this year. Madden was second in my opinion before EA ruined the gameplay. NBA 2k was still number 1 though for me because I think 2K's franchise mode is so much deeper then Maddens honestly.

Fifa is a great game, but manager mode is not deep enough. It gets boring after a couple seasons, not much immersion. NHL apparently has improved a lot, I actually may pick it up around black Friday when it goes on sale. Madden was so good...

This is pretty subjective

I think it will hard for a bunch of people to agree that one sports game is overall better than the other when there is so much personal preference in involved

I like The Show the most but not everyone is super invested in baseball. I know people who play Madden, 2k, and FIFA pretty religiously

This is pretty much the way I see it also . The order I rank the present games falls in the order of my favorite sports :
1-baseball and the Show
2-NASCAR and Heat Evolution
3-American football and Madden
4-basketball and NBA 2k17
5-hockey and NHL 17
6-soccer and FIFA 17
7-golf and PGA Tour
But I'm not going to say the Show is THE best even though it is best for me .

I'd vote for NHL. You can pretty much tailor the game to do whatever you want. Franchise mode has added a few new features and you can now relocate teams.
