    Selling on Swappa.com

Anyone have any experience selling items on Swappa.com? I put my Nexus 6P up for sell, but worried about seller protection. What would prevent a buyer to say he received the package and there was no phone included. Dispute it with PayPal, get his money back and have my phone. I don't know. Just worried about that.

    Does anyone have thoughts?

Seems like it would be easier to just do it on eBay. Or sell it on Facebook in a local buy/sell group. Waco should have a huge one.

I've used Swappa multiple times. Never had an issue. I prefer it to ebay. Get paid right away and don't have to wait too long for your phone to sell. I think the longest it took one of my phones to sell was two days.

I also think the fees end up being less than ebay.

The seem to take transactions very seriously there. There are some safeguards in place for both sellers and buyers.

Swappa Tweeted me and said sageguards come from Paypal. Just seems like buyers word is taken more than seller.

I could film myself at FedEx with the phone on, doing things with the phone proving it works, film the IME number, me turning phone off, placing in box and FedEx putting box away. LOL at least then I can prove I shipped it haha.

EDIT: Well, Just got email informing me my Nexus 6P was purchased on Swappa for $290.00

Nice, told ya it wouldn't take long!

And don't worry too much about it. Swappa has a record of the IMEI and they will know if its activated. And Paypal is usually pretty good if you have an issue.

I would also do insurance and signature confirmation for delivery.

Why discussing the transaction with the buyer I got an email hit on craiglist and someone bought it for $300. Crappy deal for the guy on Swappa, but easier for me. I've refunded the Swappa buyer his money.
