To me it sounds like that wasn't the first time something was said to him about it.

Either way he handled a mass conversation like it poorly (just wait until the next regularly scheduled staff meeting or whatever).

But it really seems as if he had heard it enough and had had enough about complaints about something that (As far as I can tell) is neither an actual right nor entitlement.



In full disclosure, that's a pure assumption based solely one what WE know. Jeremy probably knows more than what he shared and can probably debunk my post pretty easily.

Sounds like some other issue is on your boss's mind and he needed an any excuse to blow up. It's weird that he would do it the next day and not in the moment.

I'm lucky, I live like 4 minutes from my office. I go home for lunch every day.

I don't think Jeremy was there.

To my knowledge nobody has said anything about needing them in a place where the whole office can hear like we did yesterday. They are written on the supply request sheet, but that's been since the middle of June. Things don't typically build very long for him before he speaks his mind so it is very possible he continued to go over the office conversation afterwards and worked himself up.

He has had little outbursts previously for normal errors and mistakes, but those are always followed up with an apology. Those happen about once a quarter or so.

He has never marched all of us in and barked at us that way before. That aspect is new.

How is business in general? His repeated allusions to "the competitor" sort of makes me feel like your boss is worried about how the company is performing overall.

Business is busy and has gotten progressively busier since I started when it was just him and myself as the only full-time employees.

Man we were so spoiled at Godaddy. A full meal was like a buck or two or free, never ran out of anything, Sricha, tobasco, ketup was always full, and if you wanted more options they opened up the parking lot to local food trucks.

Vending machine items were cheaper than 7/11.

Our office has 25 cent bottles of pop. Dinners catered in from mid January through April 15th... or April 18th like this year . If we ever need anything (utensils, condiments, etc.) we pretty much just tell one of our IST people and they order it. Granted, it does blow to work 60+ hour weeks through those months, but come summer time, not a whole lot going on.

I have a theory that people who work in offices get more and more socially awkward over time. Some of it's due to job stress, lack of human interaction, etc.. Assuming that you guys all have your own offices and what not.

That's how it is at my workplace anyway. Between people being mostly secluded, office politics, etc. I watched a lot of cheerful new employees get beaten down over time and go from a "good morning everybody" type of person to barely saying anything. With that said it could just be my workplace because I feel like some of the people here are backward as hell and unfortunately it comes from the top and trickles down.

I have to say our atmosphere is generally in good spirits. We are genial to each other, will typically converse across the office to each other, and rib each other frequently.

At my job if you look at someone sideways, or say the wrong thing, there may end up being a group waiting for you at your car at the end of your shift in the employee parking lot.

You just might catch a beat down on camera. Security will have a good laugh then promptly delete the footage. Many failed lawsuits over the years in fact.

Happened to many a sad sap at my job for being socially awkward ****s who prolly misspoke so the caught a good beating. But the part of all this that hopefully you didn't jump to is where I now tell ya I'm messing around. None of this is real. But imagine if it was? Yikes lol.

From what I've seen on the internet in baseball and football stadiums and few other places I figured you could be telling the truth at first.
