It intrigues me how absolutely fresh almost every single episode of Seinfeld still is today, but how awfully dated Jerry Seinfeld's standup was. Almost none of his old standup routines hold up, but I can still break out laughing at most episodes like it's the first time even though I've seen all of the episodes multiple times. And I'm not usually the type to watch the same movies over and over and whatnot. That's some pretty crazy longevity and creative power.

If Cleveland wins game 7, the Warriors should forget about moving to San Fran and instead pack up for a move back to Philly. At this point I just want State to go ahead and finish the Cavs off so LBJ, Melo and CP3 can team up as Lakers.

What's the worst opening Seinfeld standup monologue?

been watching the eps on Hulu and forgot how bad some of these intros were, they don't even make syndication

funny thing is I nominate "the unshushables" which didn't even get cut, and some of these are so bad

you guys know I'm a huge seinfeld honk, but wow some of these intros are awful

dont know about the worst but my favorite is the one 'People love to recommend their doctor to you'. esp. the "make sure that you tell him you know me" - "Oh you know Bob? Oh okay, I'll give you the real medicine, everybody else I'm giving tictacs."

I'll be soooo glad when the NBA Finals are over with. Trying to watch the Wake Forest/Florida Regional final game and on top of the scroll ticker is a damn countdown for the NBA Finals.

Well, there were once 2 threads on the site with the exact same title, "Avatars that need updating" or something similar. Oh, and they were both started by Millennium a couple years apart.

I merged them a few months ago though.

Anyone had this happen? I'm driving about 45 down a busy city 5 lane street (these are just details, not pertinent to the original question), and my vehicle just shuts off. Like, everything quit, power steering, breaks, everything. It was as big of a panic situation as life could ever send me, and I have a panic disorder. Not good!

Anyway, for some strange reason I amazingly didn't panic, pulled the manual steering into the nearest parking lot, didn't collide with anyone, finally came to a stop right in front of a curb and a dumpster. People from the adjacent gas station gawking over like wtf.

This concludes the "has this happened to you?" portion. I've never been driving and had a car just shut off like that, it was terrifying!

So, I couldn't figure it out, I'm not a car guy so that's no surprise, then a few helpful people from the car wash I found refuge in came to assist (seriously, I undervalue people, I usually hate everyone but there was an incredible amount of helpful people today)

there were about 10 possible problems diagnosed (another shocker), a wrecker was called... SOB took 2 hours to get me and tow me less than a mile... all while it was hot AF today, at least the lady at the gas station let me hang out in there while I waited.

But anyway, I'm getting way off track, and not looking for more possible diagnostics lol (alternator, fuel pump, fuel filter, carburetor, starter, battery, heard 'em all), so to the original question, has anyone ever had a car completely shut down while driving?
