We Broke Up :-(

Four years ago I met the love of my life, and last Christmas I started saving for a ring to ask her to marry me. She was to me the most beautiful and perfect lady I've ever known. Maybe I put her on to high of a pedestal but in my mind she deserved it. August 31st would have been 4 years together but we encountered some troubles and broke up. I am devastated over it. I don't know how to deal with it. This is honestly the first person I've ver been in love with. I made this video for us. If the embed doesn't work I'll leave a link. Aw man that's rough, especially since she's the first woman you've truly been in love with. I hope that you two can find your way back to each other but at least you will have these memories to last the rest of your life.

I know the hurting is really bad right now but you'll come away stronger in the end my friend.

I went through something similar with my first love. We made it back together briefly but in the end we had grown apart and it didn't last.

Having never been on the rebound I found myself married 3 months later, and a year later I finally took the advice I'm giving you. Focus on yourself, your work, your life and if reconciliation is possible it will happen. But in the end you still have you and you can do everything to live the best life you can. Yeah, music might suck for a while and so much will remind you of her and you're probably without your best friend, but tomorrow is a new day.

Life is never the same after a truly broken heart, but it also establishes the low that will make your future highs so much higher and brighter.

Great advice man!
I recently went through a very tough break up.
I was with me ex for 7 years. She lives in Chicago and I live in Cincy.
We did the long distance thing for 7 years, seeing each other every other weekend as we both have a kid too.
About 2 months ago we decided we couldn't do it anymore. We were looking at living apart for atleast 4 more years and we gave up.
At first I just didn't know how to deal with it. The last few weeks I have focused on me and my daughter and things are looking better.
