re: Off-Topic
Once my lady friend responded to me with a text that said "Touché," but for some reason from her iPhone to my past flip phone the é couldn't be decoded so it showed up as a question mark. Her text ended up saying: "Touch?" I was like "HELL YEA!!!" and the rest of the conversation got weird until it was finally disclosed what she actually sent and what I actually read.
I think my text to her before hers may have been like a "That's what she said" or something. Basically something that kind of flowed somewhat fittingly from one piece of dialogue to the next.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

It was annoying getting the "unsupported emoji" icon when someone was most likely just making a crying laughing face
why does everyone cry laughing anyway? is this the current extrapolation of "lol" when people used to mock the language and say "are you really laughing out loud?", but now it'd be "are you really crying?"Last edited by l3ulvl; 08-31-2018, 01:02 AM.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Whenever I used to read that word & wasn't in the know, I'd read it as touchy.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Police batons don't look like they hurt.
I'm not saying they don't, and frankly I wouldn't want to be hit by one to find out... I'm sure it can break bones, even. Just any time I see it used on shows/movies or wherever, it looks like a nice little slap on the wrist and I'm not feeling the weight of the result. I guess part of it is because they look plastic, when in fact they're probably what, steel?
Never held one in hand either, so obviously I'm criminally undermining its brutality.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Also, I wonder why police are saddled with full equipment, shirt tucked in, belt tight, isn't that an encumbrance when foot pursuit is necessary?
I propose new equipment for law enforcement that allows any unnecessary equipment to be dropped during a foot pursuit that allows police to run at full speed and track down criminals at peak efficiencyWolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

Enjoy your last few hours of summer vacation parents/kids.
I'll thread jump again from the 'Longest Standing member' thread. When I joined, this day actually meant something to me, now it doesn't.
For 2 decades of your life this weekend was the most dreaded one.
Will make me feel old if I have to read about people on here talking about themselves going back to school.
For people without kids, mid-September is a nice time for a vacation. Still warm enough to enjoy things, no crowds, and prices on hotels are slashed in half.Comment

so I just bought 7 tickets to th e Bama-Ole Miss game in a couple weeks, from VividSeats. I printed them off from my computer & printer but what happens now to the real tickets that are floating around somewhere out there & whats to keep someone from using them & beating me to the game? I printed out a couple tickets to a Bama softball game a couple years back but this didnt occur to me then.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23
