    OS Car Guys, Help

I have 2012 Nissan Maxima with around 87,000 miles... was doing a sharp right turn and heard a loud pop and vibration.

Took it to mechanic and he says that pop was a bad half shaft. Which I will replace. However, he also says the right side inner tie rod needs replacing. He says it’s not severe but medium but says anything can happen.

Now my plan is to trade in car in summer. I know I have to replace the half shaft but what are your guys thoughts on driving a questionable inner tie rod? Totals for everything plus alignment is $800. Not doing the inner tie rods would shave off $250-280.

Depends on how far you drive it everyday. If you drive beyond 20 miles everyday to work then yeah I would just get everything fixed.

Summer is a ways away. If they are bad you are going to cause excessive tire wear. Pay now or pay later.
