The yearly tradition of the speculative discussion of the newest game being released and hashing it out after the release (observation of such anyway).

Been a nice place to visit over the years.

Coming up on 16 years for me.

It’s been the one consistent place I’ve made sure to check most times.

Want to know how often I frequent here?

I often times do the thing where my fingers make unknowing keystrokes to "check my next website," and somehow it often types right back to here... from here.

When the page refreshes itself, I ask myself why I stupidly can't outthink my body.

Also, back when I was in high school 17+ years ago, the question was asked whether I prefer playing video games or more so talking about video games (like the hype leading up to it, the community discussions while owning it, etc.), and I preferred the latter. That definitely seems to be the case now since my work and concussion symptoms have basically rendered me unable to play games throughout most of the year, yet I remain on here (obviously not just for gaming).

14 yrs, 239 days ago. I think I lurked for a long time prior to joining. I remember playing games like NCAA Football on PS2 and having the option of mailing memory cards to people who would load their rosters and return the card to you.

                    Re: Longest standing members.

                    Joined 8/2/2002.

I joined primarily to keep track of the college games during the ps2 era, but remember being very active with the NCAA 2k football games and then following all the hype leading up to NFL 2k5.

Been primarily a lurker for the better part of a decade, but still pop in here and there.

Joined when I had just turned 25; now I'm 47 with a kid about to drive and back to playing sports games in the little down time I have. Sitting down and being able to commit to a long game while my kid was growing up was a challenge...now he just beats me in everything!

Quality over quantity, I'm sure! I likely ignored that phrase a long time ago.
