Yes I believe you're right and Matrix yeah, I sometimes wonder if those guys are doing well these days. I remember the big Clay vs Heel rivalry Later on, though still back in the olden days for the most part was the silly and sometimes irritating poster DatCrunk.

ERod was also quite the prolific NFL football poster as well back in the day too.

So much nostalgia just thinking about all this.

WOW! That brings back memories, I did the same thing!
I remember the first time I did it, I mailed him a check and my memory card.
I was so nervous that I wouldn't get anything back.
It was really quite amazing how quick I got it back!

Came here from NLSC back in the day. I see a few names I recognize from that board here from time to time. Can't believe how long it's been either. Now I feel like more of a lurker than anything.

I can't add any insight about anything "way back when" as my join date is unremarkable. But, in another year or two I'll be able to contribute to a 'mediumest standing members' thread.

I cant remember when I started coming to OS, I believe for NCAA info the year Joey Harrington was on the cover. I know I was on the forums here in 2002 because I remember posting 2k rosters and CAPs from my dorm room.

I first came here for news on MVP 03. And I still remember the day it came out and the Gamestop I bought it from. (Canton OH)

I've basically been active since day 1.

I made NCAA Football rosters from around 2003-2005 for the XBox. I remember getting anywhere between 10-20 memory cards in the mail each day, doing into the basement, and loading them up on every card, packaging them and mailing them out. It became quite an operation but I loved it.

                    Good times.

My join date is 10/11/02. But was here before that because if some yall remember O.S. Shut down and went out of business but was brought back so I had to re-sign back up. Thats why you dont see anything earlier then July 2002 but was around before that. I remember madden Mania slightly i keep thinking it was around in some form or fashion in maybe 1999. Steve will have to answer that. I found OS thru ign and Gamespot. Also, this site needs a wiki page.

I have zero recollection of Madden Mania. I had not idea that was a thing until this thread. I found this website through a web search for sports gaming information and reviews around 2000. I remember thinking the site seemed legit because there was a polygonal Hakeem Olajuwon at the top of the page.

A correction here: OS and Maddenmania were two separate things. I was a member of both at the same time Maddenmania / Digital Sports Mania merged into OS in 2009, I think.

OS itself dates back to like 1998 in some form or another, but the earliest join dates you'll see for anyone on the forums is summer 2002.
