    Beach Christmas

This year I would like to take my family to the sun for Christmas vacation. I just need suggestions on where to go/what to see based off a few parameters. We have been to Jamaica, Cuba, Bahamas and the Dominican before, but want to stay on the East Coast this year.

    - We're from just outside Toronto
    - Looking for a beach/sand
    - Looking to use Air BnB (never used it before but heard great things)
    - Safe community for the kids, but not too isolated from people (no crazy patry city, though)
    - Good bang for your buck type of location

We will be driving because I want to stop at a few cities in the states to see friends an family.

    Thanks guys!

Might not be warm enough for what you want but Myrtle Beach could be a good starting place for your search. Good Luck!

Someone posting a Christmas themed thread BEFORE Mike? That should be against the TOS lol.

Really though, I've done a Carribean Christmas before and it's fine, though like you mentioned, you want safety too and I'm not sure how safe places really are. Especially with people knowing how many tourists will be around. Malls there imo are better during holidays than ones here.

Maybe a US trip? I see places advertising 25% discounts to Canadians (basically just to offset the $ difference). I'm sure places in Florida are probably nice, and lots of Airbnb options. Though even early November places go fast.

I can't offer suggestions for locations because we always spend a week with my parents on the east coast of central Florida at Christmas. Weather is usually pleasant, 70s maybe touching 80, plenty warm for us snowbirds, but not oppressive like the summer.

While seeing lights on palm trees is a little odd at first, people do some cool stuff... probably because it's not freezing when they're putting them up! One possible concern, anything tourist related (Disney/parks, space center, etc) is packed that time if year, but it doesn't sound like that's your interest. Anyway, I think it's a great idea and hope you have a good trip.

LOL....where are the mods when you need them? Gotta ban this behavior. Precedent is important around here.

A warning at the very least.

Don't worry, Peji will find a lump of coal in their stocking.

Myrtle Beach is where my family would go in between Christmas and New Year. A little 3-4 day trip was all we needed.
