    Interview with joeboo

How long have you been reading Operations Sports and what brought you here?

I've been reading OS for a few years now. I was a lurker the first year or 2 after I joined OS (older boards about 4 years ago I think), but over the last year I've found myself posting much more. Initially, I was looking for information about baseball games (HH specifically) and a Google search returned some information on OS. After searching around on OS, I found that the reviews were detailed and well written and that the forums had good information and great people. That sold me and I've been coming back ever since.

What made you decide to donate to Operation Sports?

I decided to donate because I've been spending more and more time at OS and realized it was the right thing to do. I wanted to help out Steve and the guys who make this place what it is.

    Your favorite Sports Teams?

    NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
    MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates
    NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins
NCAA: Pittsburgh Panthers and Michigan Wolverines

As you can see, I was raised as a Pittsburgh sports fan and will always be one. As for Michigan, it's a long story, but I've liked them since I was in 5th grade.

    What are your hobbies?

Video games, working out, studying baseball history and spending time with my girlfriend and friends. I also spend a lot of time studying computer stuff since that's what I do for a living. Always trying to stay ahead of the curve!

    Tell us about your family?

Well, I have 2 wonderful parents' who live about 15 minutes from me. I have 1 older sister who's married and has 2 kids (3 year old boy and 4 month old girl). I'm the Godfather for both of them so I try to spend as much time as I can with them. The boy is already a big Steelers fan so I guess my brainwashing has paid off!

As for me - I'm 27 and a Network Engineer for a Mobility Solutions company. I live by myself right now in a house I bought 2 years ago. I might get a dog in the next few months, but I'm not sure yet. I have a girlfriend who's in her last year of Law School and is 4 hours across the state. So I spend a lot of my time right now playing video games, hanging with my friends and surfing OS!

I enjoy it. Had to learn a lot of Cisco stuff (IOS), but it's been fun. I did a lot of development in college and I just never enjoyed writing code as much as I enjoy configuring routers/switches/firewalls etc...

I'd get you a job, but you'd have to move to Pittsburgh and become a Steelers fan! I'd even get you your very own Terrible Towel!

Cooldude's just hurting because the Steelers beat his Giants this weekend! You missed it Karlos since you were absent from the Steelers/Giants thread, but he was in the thread supporting his team. Good guy too.
