For sure. One of my tricks was to put the cartridge in not quite all the way and then torque the cartridge holder down into place so the cartridge sort of banged into place. I have no idea what this did or the mechanics of it, but it was damn effective quite a few times.

Dude this was my go to method as well. I have no idea why but the success rate was pretty high doing it like this lol.

Nah, you inserted the game and put your finger on the little notch on the cartridge and wiggled left and right.

It was funny when the game would start but half the screen would be all static blurry.

It’s crazy how it used to be with how it is today.

Something cool I never saw before(but apparently its been around a few years). Amazon has ads on their boxes.

Great marketing idea. Instead of just the generic plain Brown boxes, you have ones with ads. Another great way to allow free shipping. More companies should be doing that. Especially the ones who either dont offer free shipping, or require high minimum orders to qualify for it.

That was definitely my move lol, It'd take 3 or 4 tries, but I'd insert the cartridge just far enough that when I pressed it down it'd clank against the front of the system and I'd leverage it so it'd lean back toward the front, and then pray

I used to love to read the manuals after I got a new game, always a favorite of mine. When I was first married(going on 22 years now) my wife would always drive home after I got a new game so I could read the game manual.

If you didn’t complete your Tecmo Super Bowl season in one day (ahh, the freedom of childhood) you were seriously risking losing it all.

Once we had an ice storm so there was no school so I ended up at my uncle and aunt's house for the day (they lived right across the street) and my cousins and I spent the entire day doing just that.

The worst experience I've had with cartridge data loss was Ken Griffey JR baseball on SNES. My mom didn't have internet but my dad did, so I spent my internet time at his house matching stats from the fictional players and pairing them with the real players from 93 or 94, not totally sure. Took a couple months of going back n forth between moms place and dad's. Ended up using a dot matrix printer to get papers of stats to match up just so I could input the names of the real players. Played the game for a week and the file erased itself
