Anybody familiar with the book publishing process?

I just finished writing a novel that I’ve been working on for 3-4 years; this is the first (of four, maybe five) drafts that I’m proud of. I’m currently editing it by running each chapter through Grammarly and then reading it myself, looking for inconsistencies, bad writing, etc.

I’ve sent sample work to a few professional editors and those that’ve gotten back to me seem to really, really like it. Problem is, I can’t afford their prices right now, but I definitely want it edited by a pro at some point.

Any advice on where to go from here?

You can try putting it up online one chapter at a time to get some feedback and possible editing help that way.

My dad did that with a book he was writing and he said it was a big help in terms of the cohesion of the story.

I tried that with Wattpad, but the amount of "(insert adjective here) girl vs. (insert adjective here) boy" really put me off. I'll definitely consider other platforms, though.
