My main experience with Best Buy's reward/member system is getting a 5$ cert now and then to make me come into the store.

Re: Off-Topic
I pretty much stopped shopping at Best Buy once they got rid of GCU. I use my credit card enough to not let it get canceled.

Re: Off-Topic
Random thing I've thought of for years.
Is it just me or are things getting harder to open?
Something as simple as a bag of chip, just pulling the sides doesn't usually open it anymore and I just cut it open now.
And worst of all, jars. Doesn't matter what's in it, all jars nowadays seem to be tightened so much more than before. I feel like its luck at this point in being able to open a jar. Same amount of force can be used on multiple jars, but some just won't open until you find a way to just break the seal.Comment

Something as simple like "Warning, do not put in microwave" for a non food item. I've seen kids clothes that had a flammable tag on it. Good to know, only when wearing that clothes should we keep kids away from fire.
Although the funniest to me is the microwave popcorn bags that tell you to not heat up popcorn in microwave using the popcorn button.
Those buttons are pointless.
But sad thing, these stuff only exist because someone has sued before.Comment

you can plainly see this was sent from Bob's Samsung Galaxy, and not Bob himself
in fact, on further review, you do have a legit case against Samsung, and they probably have more money to throw away than Bob. probablyOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

I'm watching Good Will Hunting on Bravo, and oopsie! They missed an F-bomb in their mute censoring.

Re: Off-Topic
Random thing I thought was cool.
I was looking at some food item on Amazon, and I noticed it was cheaper on the warehouse deals. I wasn't expecting was that the item was about 30% cheaper simply because the expiry date is in 2 months.
I know some grocery stores do this when getting rid of soon to be expiring stuff, but this is something I hope we see more of, not just on Amazon but all around.
If an item is set to expire in a certain time, it should be cheaper. Obviously it should vary from item to item. Something with an expiry date usually months away expiring in 1 month would be cheaper. Or even if you buy something like bread that expires in a day, that should be cheaper than the same one that expires in 2 weeks.
It's obviously worth it to buy knowing you're still going to use it up before the "best before" date anyways, which is true in the case of the purchase I made. It makes sense to me. Would a company be losing more money by throwing away/writing off perishable goods which expired or lowering the price on items about to expire so you can at least still sell it, even if it's at a loss.Last edited by Majingir; 04-15-2022, 10:18 AM.Comment

but something like twinkies or potato chips where it's more a ''best buy before'' type dealio, where the food is still safe to eat but might not taste as fresh, I'm 50-50 on that. which is to say I don't really have an opinion on those lol. I wonder if companies that have to throw expired food stuffs away, if they don't get a tax write-off that?
