I've been around since late 2002. What probably attracted my attention to the site is when I was trying to find information about NBA Live 2003 and it led me here. I started reading the main page every day and eventually moved into the forums. I liked the layout of the forums and I thought some people around here have something intelligent to say about sports so I stuck around.
What made you decide to donate to Operation Sports?
I thought it had been way too long that I've been hanging out without making at least some contribution. Its still a great site.
Your favorite Sports Teams?
Growing up in the part of L.A. that I did, rooting for the Lakers is just common practice so I always like when they win. Originally though, I was a Supersonics fan back in the days of Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton. I also like the Red Wings and have a love/hate relationship with the Lions, which I earned from my dad, who is from Detroit.
What are your hobbies?
Programming, programming, programming. I have a Computer Science degree which I intend to use to get into the video game industry as a programmer. Most will tell me I'm nuts to try to get in when so many people that are in want to get out, but I don't care because I have always enjoyed doing it. Right now, I am working on a pro basketball game that I am designing for the more hardcore of fans, but it is still in the design stage at the moment. I also enjoy reading, analyzing, and doing research on basketball statistics, coming up with new ways to explain the game. Movies are another pastime I truly enjoy and you could say I am somewhat of a movie buff.
Tell us about your family?
I am 25 years old and I have my parents, who have been divorced for quite some time now, my 15 year old brother, and a grandmother that I visit quite often. My brother is someone who I am very proud of, because he always manages to keep a 4.0 GPA while doing his favorite pastime, which is art and drawing anime. He has dreams of being an art director for a video game studio, preferably somewhere like Square/Enix. I have been trying unsuccessfully to get him off the FFXI, though. I just suffered through a terrible break-up after a long relationship so I have moved in with my dad and my brother for the time being while I pick up the pieces and continue to talk to game companies.
