Re: We need a little Christmas!
Everyone draws their own line, but I've always been a "Christmas season starts the day after Thanksgiving" kinda guy and I'm sticking to that. It's a good thing I'll never get elected supreme overlord of the world, because I would make that a law.Comment

Re: We need a little Christmas!
Just helped someone else sign up for Santa photos for their kid.
That was seriously as stressful as people made it out to be. This was Black Friday level of stress.
Waiting all day for the email to say that signups are open, and by time you click the link after getting the email, half the spots are already taken. I just picked whatever day was convenient for them, ended up being a good day and time.
I'm never volunteering to help with Santa pic signups again, this was madness.
I'm sure @mike24forever heard about that too.
I wonder what alternatives exist for a Santa photo. Some good photoshop template perhaps? Or some kind of green screen.Last edited by Majingir; 11-13-2020, 09:14 PM.Comment

Re: We need a little Christmas!
Yep. It is really sad. I hate that the kids will miss out this year. The Christmas dinner at my country club has been cancelled as well. It was awesome because they had Santa come in for the kids. Our first year there, my daughter spent an hour with Santa. We got great photos, and had a great time. I was hoping for the same thing for my son this year. Hopefully, a vaccine will be here in the New Year.I am the lesson after the fall.Comment

if someone wants it bad enough then a Santa suit can be had fairly cheaply, get their dad or granddad or uncle to dress up, let the kids tell Santa what they wish for Christmas, then cellphone cam the experience to your hearts contentOSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

Re: We need a little Christmas!
Just signed up to take my son on the Winter Wonderland Train trip in December. He is so excited!I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: We need a little Christmas!
Bought all the Christmas stuff today. Lights for outside, two signs for each of our front doors, bulbs and garland for the tree, some other decorations.
Promised my wife I wouldn't put up the tree or decorate until Thanksgiving night. I'd do it right now or I would get flack for it. lolComment

Re: We need a little Christmas!
Disney+ and Netflix have lots of Christmas specials on there. I dont think I'm even gonna DVR many movies or anything this year, which I've done the past several years.
This year, it's mostly streaming services.
I'd want to put up the tree, change the dining room table cloth and do all that too, but people always have to comment when I do it. Next week though, I'm not waiting anymore lol.Comment

Re: We need a little Christmas!
My wife could not hold back this year and had a tree up last weekend. She is calling it a "Thanksgiving tree." It looks great.
There is a handful of movies we watch during Christmas. We don't always watch them every year, but one is The Family Man (Nicholas Cage). This movie has a scene at the end that does me in. If you've been married for some time, I'd suggest watching that movie. Hard to believe it's been 20 years since its release.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment
