Restaurants have the better food, but they don't have drive-thru (I'm not counting stuff like Grubhub etc.) so fast food wins. I want to get my food and be alone with my thoughts.

Fast food is only good for when I'm streaming. Other than that, I like to actually go out and sit down with friends and family.

I wanted to choose "neither" because that tends to be my general choice, but between the main options I go fast food.

I prefer fast food for the cost.

I will go out to eat occasionally, but my go-tos are buffets or a place like Red Robin where you get unlimited french fries.

I am definitely a quantity over quality person with food.

A nice steak I make myself for $10-12, a $25 steak from a restaurant, or $15 at Golden Corral? I am taking Golden Corral every single time.

If i dont feel like cooking I generally do fast food but I'd do a restaurant if im out with someone or want something specific

Fast food in terms of convenience (obviously), ability to just take it and eat at home or anywhere, and price.

But restaurant in terms of quality.

Although nowadays, restaurant are catching up in terms of ability to let people just order takeout/doing so online. Price is still better at fast food places, but the gap has gotten smaller in terms of other things.

I'm not much of a restaurant person. Even going out for a birthday, I feel it's more special just getting the food and enjoying it privately (aka at a house or somewhere like that) vs being confined to a single table for 1-2 hours while waiting on others to serve you.

I can't even think of last time I sat at a restaurant to eat. Obviously it would've been before 2020, but its just not something I care for. But it doesn't mean I don't restaurant foods. I'd say I still order takeout from restaurants maybe a few times a month.

I'll do carry out if I'm doing the dine alone option.

But its rare that I eat out at all being actual restaurant or fast food. I prefer, and enjoy, cooking for myself/family.

I used to eat fast food quite a bit, especially in college, but I remember one day looking over my financials and seeing the amount of money spent on fast food/eating out and it pissed me off...LOL

$5 per day (that's cheap) for 5 days a week equals:

$25 per week
$100 per month
$1200 per year

Personally, I'd rather spend that money elsewhere.

Restaurant. But only because you got Doordash and stuff like that. I just don't like sitting down and eating with a bunch of people around me unless I'm drinking lol

Theres certain things like steak where the bang for your buck are much better at home but in general I will always say restaurants. I love cooking but my wife has different taste buds and there are some things that are more of a hassle to make and/or cost more to make then to actual buy.

Donuts for example are a PIA to make but they only cost like a dollar.
