    Imo...
March-May is nice since days get warmer/longer and everything starts getting more green

June-August is obviously peak part of the year (minus those days where its so humid)

September-October things wind down but it's still decent outside

November-December sometimes is bad weather wise, many times it isn't, but you're slowly turning into "holiday mode" anyways eventually

January-February doesn't have much excitement all around

When I jumped into my truck to go to Tim Horton's for my morning coffee (the only day I don't is Christmas Day is because it is closed), to my surprise "I found out that 98.1 fm is still playing Christmas music 24/7. I here for it!!!

January February is why God made indoors and binge watching television shows possible lol.
Outdoors in January February isn't too bad if you can afford to do it in the most briefest of spurts.

I think that breakdown is just about right. It pretty much nails my feelings on it, anyway!

The goal is to build one in my backyard in a few years. It would already have happened but we put a pool in last summer and oh my goodness are they expensive. So the plan is to build a 16 x 16 shed, heated/air conditioned for the golf simulator. God willing it will happen.

You're gonna find you had more friends than you ever knew once you get that thing built!

My wife and I decided to not do presents for each other and only do the kids. Went out to a fancy dinner instead. 10/10 would recommend.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! Been a long time but I still read quite often.

I totally agree. About 12 years ago my wife and I decided that instead of giving each other gifts we'd go on a Christmas trip to New York or Portland Maine. (I have a new job as a high school athletic director so unfortunately took 2 years off but got back to it this year.

Maybe we'll do fancy dinner next year, great idea! Also recommend 10/10

Merry Christmas to you and Happy New Years. I hope you had an awesome holiday.

My wife and I have definitely cut back on the gifts we give each other at Christmas. I'd rather spoil the kids.

I just saw a house that still had their lights up.
I wondered if they were friends of Mike.

I've seen a few houses with lights or decorations still up.

To be fair, I think in one instance it's someone with a snowman. Sure, snowmen aren't just a Christmas thing, so maybe that's why they kept decorations up.

As for lights and other things, I've seen people keep things up simply because its too much of a hassle to do so once the weather gets colder so they wait until it warms up

That's what I did at my parents house - just took the last of their outdoor lights down last weekend. They hadn't been turning them on since early January or anything, but have you ever tried bundling up net lights in near- or below-freezing weather? What a pain in the ***.

Our lights are up, but off and we took down the garland on the porch. It's been too cold and we've had too much snow to take down the lights. There are people that still have up their trees!!! People have made it a # on Twitter (X). There are 3 houses in our neighbourhood with their Christmas lights still on.
