Great interview nemesis! Very good poster as well.

Golf is a great game. Like mgo said, it can be frustrating at times, but when you have a great round, it'll stick with you forever. I can still recall almost every shot I had on the back 9 of a course where I shot a 39. Too bad my front 9 was a 53, but that's another story!

Thank you guys, I am really looking foward to giving this sport a try!! I am getting fitted for my new clubs in a week!

what clubs are you getting? I'm running with Nike Slingshots I got last summer, and there's a couple threads in the golf forum (probably really old by now) where everyone says what they play with. It's good you're setting yourself up with good equipment though, that way you can't blame it all on the clubs

I am not sure yet. I am totally leaving it up to my dad on this one because he will be building the clubs for me! He has all these gadgets to measure all different things about your swing, ie. speed. From there he will determine what type of shaft and head will compliment my swing.

When building custom clubs you cannot use name brands that you see in the store. There are manufacturers that design the same heads as the name brand but have their own name. In many cases these heads and shafts can exceed the performance of the name brand. In my dad's shop he must have over two hundred heads on display. Its a very cool business that he has!

gotcha...I had my swing analyzed to tweak the clubs I have, but nothing to that extent, pretty snazzy

I feel very fortunate to be starting out this way because if they are built to my specs it may help things along a little better. I will let you know how I make out!
