So with netscape/mozilla the icon shows on every page?
It should on IE since the code is in the header on each page.Comment

for some reason when i clicked on this thread the favicon appeared on my ie address bar. but when i clicked reply it went away and it is not there on any of the other threads. just this one thread.Comment

Biggest thing with the favicon is that when you clear your cache and cookies it also removes the favicon, and the only way I know of to get it back is to re-save the favorite again.
I clear my cookies and cache every night when I leave work so any icon I get saved during the night is gone the next day. At home though I dont clear as often and those stay there longer.
Dont know how correct I am with this, but this has been the way it goes for me since Ive been using IE5.Comment
