    Why Does My Embedding Never Work?

    The standard YouTube code doesn't work -- I don't know what to do to get embedded videos working on this forum. I've tried everything I can think of and the best I got was a picture of the video that took you to the page...

    Can someone enlighten me? I'm tired of posting URLs and making people open windows to watch videos...

      Pretty easy to embed videos. Just go to any website that has a video and look for the "embed" code. Copy that and paste that code in the area where you type your message.

        <OBJECT height=355 width=425>
        <embed src="<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/soEX62bK4Tw&rel=1" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/soEX62bK4Tw&ampampamprel=1[/url]" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></OBJECT>

        That's the exact code copied from the YouTube 'embed' field. What's the deal?

          I'm not sure what you copied, but it wasn't the text in the embed box.

            Wow, I have no idea... I just CTRL + C, CTRL + V the code in the YouTube box and it doesn't work at all. Haha, this is bizarre. I can post videos on all of the other forums that I visit -- no clue why this one isn't the same...

              Re: Why Does My Embedding Never Work?

              So can someone explain why it works in this thread but in the football thread where I want to put it I get nothing?

              <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/QtvxPezTY6U&rel=1"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/QtvxPezTY6U&rel=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

              Ok, I think I figured it out, HTML code is off in the Pro Football>Team Threads for some reason, I assume there must be a reason for it but in case someone forgot to change this I guess Im bringing it to your attention.

                Actually, that's a mistake. I must not have turned on HTML code when I created that forum. It should be on now.
