Quick reply not working

Since I haven't seen anyone else post about it, I am going to assume it has something to do with my personal set-up.

The quick reply button does not work for me, nor does the quick way to insert smilies (go to advanced reply and just click on one of the smilies in that box to the right).

I'm using Firefox, SciFiVB background...nothing has changed, but it stopped working two days ago.

And Happy Thanksgiving.

After checking some more...the quick-edit function is not working, either. Nor are any of the buttons in the advanced reply/editing menu (bold, inserting pictures/hyperlinks, etc.)

EDIT: Working fine on this end.

I remember having trouble like this once before in the past, but it wasn't on OS (it was some other vBulletin message board, though). Sorry, can't help.

Does the editing function work?

i have the same issue with quick reply, when i hit that button it quotes, but i'm using IE.

What it seems like the issue is...any button that does not open up a new window does not work. THe multi-quote button doesn't work, quick reply button does not work, none of the buttons in the advanced reply button, clicking edit brings up a new window instead of the in-post editing function.

That is what it seems like to me, at least.

Gotcha.

Did you install the new Firefox beta, or any other automatic updates? They may have messed with some settings in your options or something (not sure which ones, though).

If you post on any other vBulletin message boards, test those and see if the same problem is occurring.

You know...that may be it. I think right around the same time I got a message saying I had installed the new Firefox despite not wanting to, all of my favorites and history had been deleted...

Anyone know what settings would effect something like this?

I'm looking around, but I'm actually not sure. Sorry.

Check and see if you have JavaScript enabled and such. Something must be missing.

But again, maybe it's just OS itself. Try another vBulletin message board just to be sure.

I'm not seeing this issue with FF 2.0.0.9. Let me know what version of FF you're running as that might be the culprit. I probably won't have much time to look at this until Monday. Family is here for Thanksgiving and I've been running around a lot with them.

It says it is the same version you're running, which is weird.

It must've messed up my settings about links within a window, or something like that.
