Save any image to your computer, and just make it your custom avatar that way. It'll automatically resize to fit.Blind to this impending fate

Re: Avatars....
Obviously Im an idiot. I have a gif file that is 90x90 and yet it keeps saying the file is to large, what gives? Its within the limits, so why would it say this exactly?
EDIT- The only way I can get it to work is to load into photo bucket, resize it to an avatar, even though Im pulling directly from an avatar website, and then load it here. The problem is, it becomes really small and I cant quite figure that part out, and then its a gif and it doesnt move or anything. Im obviously doing something wrong here but I cant figure out what it is that Im not doing.
On a side note, what are the general rules for an avatar anyways? Im trying to avoid getting myself into trouble, so I would like to know what type of restrictions there are on the avatars, thanks.Last edited by The Chef; 05-06-2008, 07:41 PM.Comment

Yeah, that worked for still pictures but for animated avatars it wouldnt resize it automatically. When I used photo bucket to resize it then it became a still image and was no longer animated. I guess I just need to find a animated avatar that fits within the guidelines from the onset, ohh well, not a big deal.Comment

Re: Avatars....
if its animated then it probably exceeds the file size limit, it isnt a problem with the dimensionsComment

Try donating and then you can have a custom avatar, until then you cant. The info is easy enough to find if you do a simple search, more info can be found in the "Want to become a supporter..." thread.Comment
