There is no pay, there are no benefits. The reviewers will sometimes get early copies of games to review. Often, they are just reviewing games they bought with their own money.

The incentive to being a mod is feeling like you're a part of keeping these boards one of the best places on the 'Net.

Regulate forums, be respected, who cares if you get payed? If you're looking for money, you are in it for the wrong reason.
Anyway, IMO, I don't think you stand a very good chance at becoming Mod., you just got active, and you bitch too much.

Actually, there are different types of people that are "staff" around here. There are:

Administrators: BDitty. He just deals with the forum, although he has stepped up on some weekend news. But, he doesn't write reviews.

Moderators: Mod the forum only. They don't write reviews. They do chip in with news sometimes.

                        News Posters: Needs no explantion.

Web Site/Forum Guru: Eddie. Makes us look pretty. Stay tuned!

                        Game Editors: Write the reviews.

Now, you'll see that a lot of people here are one or more of these titles. That's how Steve fills the holes. That's the other thing. If Steve needs somebody, he asks them. He knows who he wants.

Just keep posting, follow the TOS and things happen.

Oh, and, the incentives. Has Sega ever put you in a Video Game?

We do this for the love of the site and the community. But the 'volunteer work' itself is very tough at times; but again, we do it because we want to give everyone what they want in a sports gaming site.
