Currently, the two are independent. When I did this morning's news, I manually added it to both.

I like the new addition of news to the forums. I'm probably one of many that tend to leap to the forums through a bookmark, so having the news there too would make it a lot more likely that I'll see it.

I'm all ready addicted...and I wasn't really a big forum visitor before OS, but you can actually have rational points on games and other things here, without the 'x game suxor' comments and other things prevalent on other boards.
