    Video Game Exchange Forum?

    Hi Steve/ OS,

I have a scenario to present...I have NBA 2K9 and dont want it anymore...I can trade it in and get what $20 toward the purchase of a $60 game? But that's not ideal obviously.

So, what if I found someone that had NBA Live 09 or a game I wanted, and worked out a verbal agreement where we sent our games to each other? This way neither of us loses $40 to video game stores if we wish to swap games.

Is there a way to do that thru OS? I didnt wanna disrespec the forums and just post that I am trying to do this, in a game forum, so thought I'd ask if it can be done or if you guys think a Video Game Swap Forum is a good idea

There was a similar forum here in the past and people were being ripped off, so it ceased.

Some guys have probably traded of bought things off of others via PM but its against the TOS to do that kind of thing on here.

It would not be a bad idea. but I can also see where it could get hairy.

I would do this with a couple guys I know on here, but alot I don't know very well and would not risk that.

OS would have to state that is has no ties to this and will not replace or compensate for stolen goods.

It is a good idea but in the end there is to many dishonest people for this to work.

It's a bad idea for OS because it was done once and someone got burned. It wont be happening again.

Dre, are we allowed to place the game for trade in our signature with a note saying its for trade? But it would be handled over PM, this way OS staff has no responsibility at all in the transaction? Just a though.

This is all I see allowed so I would say that sigs are also subject to the rules.

Personally I wouldn't care but they set the rules up for a reason

I'll talk to Mill about this one for you

Due to abuse by users in the past, posts offering games for Sale or Trade are not allowed at the Operation Sports boards. Such posts will be deleted, and the poster will be warned. That makes sense due to the issues that arise.
