I've pitched this idea before but the time seems right now as the administration of the site is now different. How about creating a forum just for donors to the site?
In theory, donors should be at least 18 as a debit or credit card is required for donation (or at the very least make this the rule to be 18). This would eliminate some of the concerns as well as give a place for members to have some place to post a little more freely.
