Why should we use the first impressions sticky?

It's so annoying. You have to navigate through page after page (once the game is out) just to get impressions. Wouldn't things be easier if we allowed first impressions in new threads. Last year, the stupid thing grew to 30 pages and it was impossible to actually find a first impression.

Just a thought.

what happens is that then you have the first 3 pages of the forum as "hey i got it"
hey i dont got it"

"hey i got it new england at the burger joint"

"hey no one has it in quaghogg"

we are trying to keep this from happening. Its no better having to sift through multiple posts of "hey i got or no i dont got" threads. SO i doubt we will be changing it any time soon. Its the same format we've been using and its worked much better than the alternative.

I can see both sides, but he does have a point. I mean right now the First Impressions thread is being used as an Auburn/FSU flame war. It does get hard to find any actual info.

The First Impression Sticky only stays up for a day or so it is not a real big deal. The forum keeps track of where you are at in the post so it is not like you have to go through the same posts over and over.

This is nothing new and we do this for every big release.
