Locking threads in MLB 10 THE SHOW area

Why are the moderators policing the threads so much? Almost every post is being locked because it supposedly belongs in the impressions thread.

The impressions thread is 98 pages long! It's a bit tedious to have to go through 100 pages.

Would you rather have 98 threads cluttering the first 6 pages? Also, the search feature works well if you're looking up certain details. And if you prefer impressions by certain posters, you can search for those by their username.

In short, because there are multiple threads being started on the same topic.

IMO it's harder to find an answer in 4 or 5 threads scattered everywhere, then one topic that's 98 pages long. Use the search function within the impressions thread, problem solved.

I don't think having new threads is all that bad. If the topic generates interest it will grow. If there's no interest it will die off.

When I visit the forums, I want to read new info but it's hard to figure out where I left off if I'm forced to check the impressions thread every day.

There should be less government.

I like that things are being locked. I know there's no new information, I move on. It's awesome. And I usually glance at the locked threads too. Also, locking threads keeps the newest information near the front. I like it.

This rule goes for any forum on this site

Especially during new game releases, it reduces the clutter and confusion from the forums.

Please dont refer to the site as government or any other silly name you can think of because you dont agree. The mods know exactly what they're doing, and in time it will slow down just as it is every year.

Sorry for continuing my rant but threads also seem to get closed because the question has been answered. If I wanted to participate in that discussion I would have to start a new thread - which adds to the clutter.<o></o>

to bad the threads that get locked just cant be removed, so we dont have to see them there at all.
