wow, that was a really great article to read!

Kinda like OS's own PTI team over there. Plus it's cool to see the two different viewpoints on a subject. Great idea adding this, kudos to Shawn and Clay

                Re: Starting 5

Well Clay as far as your view point on the First Person Football (no pun intended), I have to think you are very wrong on this. Why or how may I say that? Am I just one of these snot nosed middle school kids that post on boards thinking they know it all and offer no back-up to the statement? No I am not.

Let's break it down. *insert Sportscenter theme here* Sports gamers play the video game on the console or PC for love of the game. A lot of us also play or have played the sport in real life. Example, I love hockey, I play hockey. I buy Sega's hockey because it is the most realistic game out there now. Blows EA Sucks...errr...EA Sports out of the water. So applying this train of thought to a football game not a good idea? I think it is brillant! VC is doing something with their football game ever year: improve or enhance it. The other big dog (only because of sales, not quality) is EA Sucks...errr...EA Sports, a company that does nothing to enhance their product about once a presidental election. "Oh a new guy in office? Damn, have to "do" something with the game now." And with this kind of "development" mentality applied we are stuck paying $50 a year just for an updated rooster. Thank god for VC then! Glad to see someone is really putting heart in their games, not just green in their wallets.

So going back to that EA Sucks...errr...EA Sports (I got to stop doing that--well maybe when they make some quality sports games it will not be so second nature) being the top seller. EA Sucks...errr...EA Sports is sitting on top of the charts because a lot of people still have not tried the other offers out there -- they are scared of change maybe? So in doing this people stick to one title alone, buying it for name only. Let's be honest, sports gamers walk in and look for that white and grey color box with a pro athlete on it and say whoa! I know kung-fu (opps wrong person), Wow this is going to be great! And by not expanding their horizons, they find that that game is good. How or why a game that has their football players running around on the field looking like Mega Man from the 8-bit NES days is beyond me. But hey, someone must like it? The company, now far light years out of their prime, still sit at the top spot of the sales charts every year.

So now, maybe giving the gamers something they really want, like being on the field, gunning that huge pass, making that big catch, driving in that big run, will have gamers in a world they have never been in before. Or unless they are about 5'11, 320 lbs, a place they will NEVER be.

So kudos to VC for really bringing something great to the table every year. Versus the competition whos biggest change was turning a franchise into VH1 Sports instead of EA Sports. Who in the hell wants to hear some pop song and and see an popping up during their game? Whats next, Brittney doing the halftime show on the field? Well...wait a minute, EA may get some -- NO! Must not give in to the Dark Side with their trickery and ploys of getting my money for something so outdated it should have a Social Security check in with every game. NO!

But hey, this is just my take on the whole thing with this years football video game season.

And don't even get me started on that Rush Slimebaugh. He is a waste of flesh and hope to god he flops in the first month and they ripped his saggy gut from the chair and tell him to go back to those mindless idiots who follow his show religiously since they can not make up their own mind and need some moron telling them on just what to think and how to vote.

What a minute? Isn't that pretty much the theme of this whole post? Yea, think it was. Maybe I should get my own coloumn too? People would read that to gripe about me, or just knowing that I would call it like I see it.

Keep going VC! Quite sure I am not the only one who supports your efforts in making the best possible sports game of the given year. Don't stop trying! Hopefully the rest of the world will wake to see this too!

Do you expect anyone in the world to take your views as even mildly credible when you use a phrase like "EA Sucks"?

You resorted to blanant fanboyisms to make, what could have been, a valid point.

                      Thank you for your input.
