My roomate wants to sign up to this site. Is there anyway possible that he can sign up without my account getting banned?

They have to realize that across the world there are bound to be some people who go to the same college, university, or common public place and are going to be forced to use the same IP address.

Yea that is very true bro. That goes for been a house with other family members aswell that might get on the same site. But warn them to never do anything to get banned on their account because it might get yours banned aswell. So long as people using the same IP and same pc doesn't get banned then your account is fine.

I know absolutely nothing about computer networking and whatnot and am confused about IP's. Are they generated by computer or the internet jack they are plugged into? I would think that as long as the OP and his roommate are using different computers and different email accounts then they'd be okay.

Someone may correct me if I'm mistaken, but I believe that IP's are the same per network. So if me and my friend are sitting next to each other, we have the same IP.

The MAC address is what differs amongst computers.

You will get banned. I already had this issue come up as my roommate and my brother were banned and were not allowed back on.

Do Mods and such get notifications when there are 2 users on the same IP address/PC or is it a random search and destroy kinda thing?
