It's called an avatar. You should go to your User CP and go to change avatar. You can use stock photos. Supporters can use any image they would like that fits under the TOS.

Click on the Quick Links tab above, then click on Edit Options on the drop down menu. Then click on Edit Avatar on the left side of the page that loads. Then you can pick one of the avatars OS provides. If you become an OS Supporter you can upload your own avatar.
