    Splinters From The Pine (8-15-03)

Shawn "sdrotar" Drotar has chimed in again with his latest Splinters From The Pine article. This one entitled, Around the bases.

"There’s only six weeks left in the Major League Baseball season – but there are still plenty of stories to follow! Come take a quick round trip with me…"

    Thoughts??

Very good as usual but I found this one especially delightful

Good article, just wish you gave the Marlins a little more credit. You didn't talk about Luis Castillo nor Juan Pierre. (They've been stellar, a hella lot better than Mike Lowell) Other than that, good read.

The table setters for the Marlins really have done a great job this year.
Personally, I'm a fan of "small ball", so I do enjoy watching the Marlins play. I just hope they can start treating their pitchers with more care...
