Madden 'Impression' Threads Locked

I noticed several threads being locked due to them being 'Impression' and should be talked about in the already-made Impressions thread for M11. I also noticed this only happens to negitive-related M11 threads.

For Example

Please note that a mod has posted on both threads so they are aware. Now I understand excessive negitivity can cause unpleasent post but there were none in the locked thread so Im wondering what exactly determines a thread to be locked in relation to 'Impressions'?

Best thing to do here is PM the mod that closed the thread your asking about. He'll be able to give you the best answer as to why he closed it.

If you also notice, it was not my thread. And as this is not question about a specific thread but to them all in general, it would be immpossible for me to PM every mod that has closed a thread related to impressions. The two links above are just example of many of these threads being locked.

It doesn't have to be your thread to PM a mod about it, and that's the way mod issues should be handled. We try to be as consistent as possible. There isn't really a lot to add about it, and mods are all people too. There's an amount of discretion we exercise in whether or not to close a thread. PM me if you have further questions about it, or the Admin. Thanks.

Had nothing to do with negativity. Only had to do with the fact that it was an impression that could have been made in the impressions thread. I could care less if every thread in the Madden forum was negative.

No I got your point. My response is directed at your point. I didnt lock the one thread because it was negative and I didnt keep the other one unlocked because its positive. I saw one thread, saw it was an impression and locked it. I didnt see the other thread.

You assumed that there was a reason behind the locking of the threads based on the content of the thread. The problem is you ignored that there were several other locked "positive" impressions threads.

I believu are taking this too personal. This was not a question directed to a particular moderator. It was directed to the community as a whole. It was a simple question I was curious about.

You're seeing an illusion of it only happening to "negative" threads. It happens to "positive" ones as well.

I ask for this to be closed without a moderator commenting beyond saying 'Thread closed'. I feel as if this conversation isn't going to end on a good note.
