Re: David Ortiz\****** Football Forum Debacle
Jessep: Ever put your life in another man's hands, ask him to put his life in yours?
Kaffee: No, sir.
Jessep: We follow orders, son. We follow orders or people die. It's that simple. Are we clear?
Kaffee: Yes, sir.
Jessep: Are we clear?
Kaffee: Crystal; sir I just have one more question before I call Airman O'Malley and Airman Rodriguez....If you gave an order, that Santiago wasn't to be touched, and your orders are always followed, then why would Santiago be in danger? Why would it be necessary to transfer him off the base?
Jessep: (Reciting) Santiago was a sub-standard Marine, he was being transfered beca...
Kaffee: (interrupting) That is NOT what you said! You said he was being transfered because he was in grave danger.
Jessep: That's correct-
Kaffee: You said danger, I said grave danger, you said "is there any other kind?"
Jessep: I know what I said.
Kaffee: I can have the court reporter give back to you..
Jessep: I know what I said! I don't need to have it read back to me like I'm some kind of...
Kaffee: Then why the two orders? Colonel?
Jessep: (Awkwardly) Sometimes men take matters into their own hands...
Kaffee: No, sir. You made it clear just a moment ago that your men never take matters into their own hands; your men follow orders or people die. So Santiago shouldn't have been in any danger at all, should he have Colonel?Gamertags

Re: David Ortiz\****** Football Forum Debacle
The corruption clearly runs deep around here.
I personally would have banned them for changing the Hockey forum name to Ice Soccer.
I'm seriously questioning my decision to donate my money to a site that allows its mod staff to run amok for several hours before taking action.Comment

I'm sure I speak for the rest of the staff when I say we're doing what we can right now. Just bear with us and we'll get to the bottom of this.Comment

Re: David Ortiz\****** Football Forum Debacle
There are plenty of people I wish I could ban on the spot but believe it or not we have limits as well since we all answer to Mill.
Its obvious that the site doesn't allow freaking renegade modding to go on, no matter how many nazi ****s people make, everybody knows the site policy about devs. Its one thing to make a **** and another thing to do something you know the site admin wont allow
I have no idea what happened to 42 yet but this is a bunch of hogwashComment

That's reassuring, CB. It's nice to know that there is some sanity around here and that we truly will never walk alone.Comment

Re: David Ortiz\****** Football Forum Debacle
As I'm sure most forum members have noticed, it appears that we had an issue in the ****** Football Forum earlier today.
Apparently both Pared and Ryan36 thought it would be a good ***** ****s Day **** to impersonate Developer David Ortiz. While we appreciate ***** ****s Day here at OperationSports.com as much as the next site, we have a Strong Relationship with EA and many other Software Publishers/Developers. Any impersonations of such companies and persons not only is against our Site Rules, but can camage our credibility and relationships with those parties.
We have taken care of the issue at hand, and now must not only ask for the forgiveness of the parties involved, but you the forum members and readers.
We hope you can understand that this was a horrible prank and that we are taking steps to make sure it doesn't happen again.
While we welcome any feedback or thoughts regarding this issue or how to prevent it in the future, we ask that you be mindful of the site's Terms of Service when formulating your responses

I realize it's A.pril, and everyone wants to have fun, but the j.okes need to be kept forum-centric (i.e. announcing that this forum will shut down or something related to OS alone) or at least impersonal. As soon as you start impersonating other people with actual jobs and reputations, then you're just asking for trouble.Comment

Re: David Ortiz\****** Football Forum Debacle
Well just so you know, 42 will be u***nned and I personally saw to that
I dont think it was warranted really but I guess he can apologize for his own part in that, even if it wasnt straight out directly
As for those other two.. its not hard to replace greeniesComment

Re: David Ortiz\****** Football Forum Debacle
If this isn't a j.oke, then thanks for handling the situation. I think everyone needs to abide by the rules, mod or not. That's why this site is so credible in the eyes of developers.
