User Pictures

I'm new to the forums and i was wonderin what the little pictures are underneath the usernames on the left of a post. I'm refering to the little banners of schools or movies or whatever each user has. I was wonderin what they were and how u can get one....maybe u can help me some... thanks.

They are your personal avatar or icon. You insert the URL you want into the "Picture" section. Under your Preferences in the My Home section.

Basically they are pictures from the web. Anythign that ends in .jpg, .gif, or .bmp

I need your help with my personal sign under my name. I'm trying to put a michigan flag but I guess I'm doing it wrong. What exactly do I have to do? Sorry for the stupid question but I'm a scrub when it come to computers...Thanks

Yes, I went to one of the post some user name Gizmo has a link to all the college flags.....What do I do after I go to the link?

1. click on the flag you want
2. copy the link (click mouse one time in address window on internet browser, then it should be high lighted in blue. RIght click your mouse and select copy)

3. Come here. Click "my home" at the top of the page
4. click "edit personal information"
5. Look for "your picture"
6. click mouse in the "your picture" box to get the cursor in there. THen right click mouse and select "paste".
