Nice article, would have liked to see a little more than just college football, especially with the baseball playoffs just beginning to start up, but other than that it's good as always.

Sorry but I am to blame on that. There was a mixup and I was a last minute fill in. I don't start watching basebal until... well this week to be exact, now that the playoffs have started.

Brent even saying that the Non-BCS schools should get a shot. I like Brent now, gimmie a hug!!

Of course they deserve a shot. How exciting would March Madness be without the mid-majors and smaller conferences? It is the thought that one day a Gonzaga could actualy win it all. To me the most exciting time of March Madness are the first two rounds. All those games and you get upsets every year. It might not happen as much in football but it would still make a difference in how exciting the playoffs would be. Give me a first round matchup with OU and say Northern Illinois if they were to both go undefeated.

Re: Starting 5 (9-29-03)
Brent made a very good point about scraping the BCS. It's time for the NCAA to wisen up and go with a playoff system. It would be bidded on big time. I could see CBS and ABC bidding against each other for full coverage of the playoffs.
It would really bring in more money yet wouldn't disrupt the current athlete/school dynamic. If this year proves to be the downfall of the BCS then the folks that run College Football can't just go "la la la la let's stick to the status quo". There'll be too much of an uproar.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
