    Re: Username Color Code Legend

Quick question, idk if anyone here can answer. I just joined the site this morning and was wondering how long it takes to be able to post topics. Really wanted to get started so i can post about ultimate team for madden and when fifa comes out. I can post replies but not original topics. Thanks in advance for anyone with an answer.

I don't know why you posted in this thread instead of one that deals with your question but if you are an active member of the community then you will have no problems posting threads

I think that your OVR needs to be at least 1 in order for you to be able to post threads.

Nah, being able to post threads has nothing to do with overall.

Seeing as how Orange is now available, any chance that could go toward differentiating between two similar colours, such as Game Changers—registered users? For my part at least split-second differentiation between those two is a little tough (obviously the quantity of registered users is much higher than that of GCs, but from an instantaneous perspective the two are very similar).

Changed the GameChangers color to something less "Registered User" like.

How do I post? It moderates me every time. I also cannot post new threads. This doesn't seem normal. No one has accepted any of my moderated posts. This is my 5th one so far that I've attempted.

Could you tell me where the welcome forum is? I cannot find it, even through search. Also, there doesn't seem to be any page navigation buttons in the forums... only in threads. I've tried different web browsers.

Also, I cannot post a new thread.

In addition, there seems to be a problem with the capatcha service today.

Also, I cannot seem to post on other people's chalkboards.

Sorry for the double post, just thought of this, and cannot edit my previous post currently.

You have to have a certain number of posts before you can create a thread.

What's the point of posting replies to topics you have no knowledge of imformation of?

For instance, it's a stereotype to say that "Everyone watches news/reads newspapers/reads a blog", so, what about the people who don't? Just saying, it's going to be hard to post replies to conversations you don't know anything about, which is perhaps 99% of the forum for me. (you can tell I don't read the internet much). I understand if this combats spam, but that's pretty much all I can post at the moment, other than this reply.

I don't understand this reply. What he told you is the truth. You need a certain number of posts and days to be able to create a thread. If you read the TOS which you agreed to when you signed up for an account you would already know that.

I've been on OS for 8 years. If I didn't know the answer to your question I wouldn't have answered it.

I never said you didn't know the answer. Both of you assumed that I was implying that.

In all cases, I have a few questions that haven't been asked, plus I want to be welcomed, but since there is no welcome forum, and since there is no questions and answers forum, I can't ask. Is there a rule against asking?

I think I get where you thought I was coming from. But I was actually referring to myself. I don't have any information to contribute to topics, so, I cannot make a decent post without spamming

I see what you meant and how it was originally misinterpreted. The answer to your quoted question is that you can: (a) ask a question about the topic to start to build knowledge about it; (b) find a topic that you already know a good deal about and comment there [for example, I don't really need to be a long time OS member to make rational comments about MLB baseball goings-on since I am also a baseball fan]; or (c) educate yourself on the topic by reading back through the thread--this is often plenty of contextual information to realize what the thread is really about.
