Do what they said. Clear your cookies, then do the mark all read posts thingy. If that doesn't work do it in the opposite order. Mark all read posts and then clear your cookies.

If you are using IE, then it wouldn't hurt if you go into the tools menu, select internet options, then click on the button delete cookies.

I'd like to add to that, after you:

Clear Cookies
Mark All As Read

Click on every single forum...

This will get everything back to normal.
